**Part-Time Bin Truck Driver - Wednesdays (Perfect for Gig Workers or Semi-Retired Applicants)**

**About Us**:
Fresh Start Recycling is a local rubbish removal and bin rental company with roots in Vancouver going back nearly 20 years. We care about doing clean, professional work and leaving customers with a great impression. We’re now bringing more of our work in-house and are looking for a **dependable, friendly driver** to take over weekly Wednesday routes using our 2018 Hino 195 bin truck.

**The Opportunity**:
This job is ideal for someone who:

- Already does gig work (Uber, food delivery, trades, etc.) and wants 1 guaranteed day of work per week.
- Is semi-retired or scaling back work hours but still wants to stay active and earn good pay.
- Enjoys working solo, being out and about, and interacting with a variety of people.
- Takes pride in doing a job well and being reliable.

**What You’ll Be Doing (Primarily on Wednesdays)**:

- Driving our company truck (no special license required) to deliver, pick up, or swap bins at client sites.
- Occasionally helping load bins by hand — some jobs are more physical, others are simply pick-up/drop-off.
- Communicating with clients to ensure a smooth, positive service experience.
- Using your phone to get directions, log job notes, or send updates.
- Completing basic vehicle checks before and after your shift.

**We May Also Call on You For**:

- Occasional weekday jobs (if you’re available).
- Spotting prohibited materials in bins.
- Light communication with dispatch or the owner.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Class 5 license with a clean abstract (no special endorsements needed).
- Experience driving trucks, box trucks, or other mid-size commercial vehicles is an asset — but not required.
- You’re reliable, communicative, and enjoy leaving customers happy.
- You’re comfortable working solo, outdoors, and doing some physical labour.
- You can lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
- You're available every Wednesday without fail (this is key).

**Pay**:
$25/hour is typical to start, with a range of $21-$28/hour depending on experience and skills. We’ll guarantee a minimum number of hours per Wednesday to make the trip worthwhile.

**Employment Type**:
Employee (preferred), but we’re open to discussing an independent contractor arrangement with the right person. That said — **we are not looking to sub-contract to someone with their own truck.** We’ve got a truck — we need a dependable driver.
