Alavida Lifestyles is looking to hire a **Part Time** **Activity Aide** for our retirement residences. The Activity Aide will assist in the planning and implementation of recreational programs for Residents under the direction of the Recreation Manager.

**Must be available to work on occasional weekends and/or special events.**

As part of Alavida Lifestyles' Mandatory Vaccination Policy, all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination as a condition of employment.
- **RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- Assist the Recreation Manager in the planning and implementation of recreation activities designed to meet individual needs and interests, according to established standards
- Organize supplies and equipment as needed
- Set up program area as needed
- Keep attendance and document Resident participation in activities
- Encourage Residents to attend programs
- Assist Residents to and from programs
- Other duties as assigned.
- **QUALIFICATIONS**_
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Highly organized and able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Must enjoy working with the elderly in a setting that promotes optimum independence, dignity and respect
- Must have high energy and a sense of fun
- A college diploma in leisure services an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

- Running activity programs: 2 years (preferred)
- Retirement home/Long term care: 1 year (preferred)
