**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking a **Junior EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and API Specialist** to join our team. Reporting to the **Director of Systems and Planning,** this role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of EDI and API integrations between our systems, customers, and business partners. The position includes troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing workflows for efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with senior developers and analysts to design, test, and deploy EDI and API solutions.
- Assist with data mapping and translation for EDI file formats (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and API standards (e.g., REST, SOAP).
- Monitor and resolve EDI/API transaction errors and integration issues.
- Maintain and update documentation for EDI/API processes and configurations.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure adherence to data exchange standards.
- Conduct regular audits of data transmissions to ensure accuracy and security.
- Develop Testing Plans including Scripts and Expected Results with the input of the operational teams for the integrations being supported.
- Stay informed about new technologies and trends in EDI and API integrations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
- Familiarity with API concepts and protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
- Experience with integration tools like Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or IBM Sterling is an advantage (but not required).
- Knowledge of SQL and databases for troubleshooting data flows.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning new tools and technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (including internships or co-op placements).
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and warehousing transaction and process flows, including Receipt and Receipt Advice, Shipment and Shipment Advice, Inventory management, and Adjustments
