**Night Auditor**

The **Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Thunder Bay** is currently recruiting for a Night Auditor. As a member of the Front Desk Department, Night Auditors are focused on providing exceptional service and providing an end-of-day audit of daily transactions while maintaining a safe and secure presence overnight at the hotel. Night Auditors are often the first point of contact for our guests and will have a direct impact on the overall experience of our hotel guests. The Night Auditor will perform all Front Office duties, including the night audit process, during the overnight shift. Night Auditors take a proactive and responsive approach in determining and meeting guest needs to ensure a pleasurable and memorable experience for each guest that drives guest loyalty and return business.

**Key Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager or designate:

- Provides excellent customer service to all guests;
- Welcomes and greets all guests, and executes check-in and check-out procedures;
- Answers guest inquiries and provide assistance in a professional manner;
- Answers all incoming phone calls and processes new reservations;
- Accurately follows all cash handling procedures;
- Adheres to all department and Company policies and procedures;
- Ensures guest security by proper handling of guest room keys and personal information;
- Administers all night audit functions;
- Balances all revenue and settlement accounts nightly;
- Ensures that all daily transactions are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with set policies and procedures;
- Maintains files and resets the system for the next day of operations;
- Follows up on guest requests and resolves problems promptly;
- Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.

**What We are Looking for...**
- Demonstrated experience working as a Hotel Guest Service Agent or Night Auditor is a definite asset and is strongly recommended.
- Demonstrated exceptional guest/customer service skills with a passion for anticipating and exceeding guest expectations;
- Friendly and cooperative disposition and easily able to work cooperatively with team members;
- Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills;
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal;
- Exceptional analytical skills to prepare reports and solve routine accounting problems;
- Strong knowledge of Property Management Systems is a definite asset;
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment-maintaining composure and objectivity with guests;
- **This is an overnight role**, with regularly scheduled weekends and holidays;
- Computer use and cashiering skills are required;
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task;
- Proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure;
- Moderate level of physical and mental effort. (can include activities such as periodic lifting up to 40 lbs.);
- Standing and/or walking for prolonged periods.
