POSITION: Manufacturing Helper - Foam Line
FILL DATE: ASAP
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
LOCATION: Brampton Manufacturing Facility

HOURS: Full-time hours (40), however weekly hours may vary.
This role is overtime eligible.
SHIFT: 1st Shift (7:30 am to 3:30 pm) Monday to Friday
-JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time

Job Description Detail
Overview:

**General**:
Working at the Brampton location, the Manufacturing Helper aides in the manufacturing process of quality packaging products such as our foam packaging. Helps maintain the production, quality, safety, and housekeeping company standards, and maintains a good working relationship in team settings. Works in a safe manner and follows all safety procedures and policies.

**Safety**:
Capable of learning and following company’s housing keeping standards and maintain a safe and clean environment. Has a good understanding of when and how to clean parts and machinery. Aides the Operator in safely changing machine parts. Accurately places recyclable material in appropriate bins.

**Production Process**:

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Safety - Be able to maintain high level of production, safety and housekeeping standards.
- Quality - support all quality systems along with focus to minimize quality rework.
- Dependable - will be mechanically inclined with good work and attendance record
- Communication - possesses strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates the willingness to learn SAP to successfully fulfill shipper duties.
- Initiative / Self - Motivation - Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- Understanding of WHMIS labelling and ability to identify potential work hazards
- Ability to read, write, understand and speak fluent English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Flexibility, ability and willingness to switch shifts to cover vacation, sickness, overtime, etc. based on business needs
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. several times each day.
- Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Good work ethic, solid attendance records, positive attitude
