Grain Handler and Maintenance Worker

Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- load trucks with product (corn, wheat or soybeans) using auger and or shoveling
- manage the scales and computer system in scale house
- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors and loaders for maintenance purposes
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required including shoveling for long periods of time
- manage levels of grain storage bin and dyers
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material quantities
- Maintain and repair farm machinery as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with farm machinery maintenance is a plus
- millwrighting would be an asset

**Salary**: $16.55-$30.48 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
