**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Install sheet metal products on residential and commercial buildings according to specifications and building codes provided by the design team
- Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
- Operate machines such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Understand engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications
- Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal based on drawings and specifications
- Inspect product quality and installation to ensure adherence to specifications and overall design standards
- Lead group of sheet metal workers by providing hands on training, instructions and clarifications from design team, and demonstrate strong work ethic and professionalism

**Skills**
- 5+ years experience in similar position working on residential and/or commercial buildings
- Completion of secondary school and apprenticeship program
- Trade certification is an asset
- Experience leading team of workers in construction setting
- Proficiency using power tools regularly
- Able to work effectively outside in various physical and weather conditions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Fast learner, flexible, and passionate about learning new skills and strategies
- Proven ability to take initiative and think strategically to solve problems
- Works well with a team
- Construction safety and/or First Aide certificate
- Fluency in Arabic, French and/or Farsi is considered as asset
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record or ability to acquire license within 14 days of hire
- Currently reside in or willing to relocate to Nova Scotia within the Halifax Regional Municipality
- Available to start working ASAP is beneficial

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week

Work Location: In person
