As a DZ Truck Driver at JLM Metal Recycling, you will play a crucial role in our operations by transporting scrap metal materials efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our materials during transit and adhering to all safety regulations. **Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate and maintain a DZ-class truck to transport scrap metal materials.
- Load and unload materials at designated locations using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck's safety and functionality.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including weight, destination, and time of delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members and dispatch to coordinate transportation schedules.
- Follow established routes and adapt to traffic and weather conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Minor repairs
- Safely tarp loads
- Lifting and moving scrap metal as needed
- Bending/lifting
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid DZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of transportation and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of roll-off trucks and scrap metal
- Ability to operate equipment used for loading and unloading materials.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work Saturday mornings and overtime as needed.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

**Experience**:

- Roll-off truck: 1 year (preferred)
