Regional Company Driver

Altom Canada ULC is seeking a professional and experienced Regional Company Driver to join our team. As a Regional Company Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods between various locations within Canada and the USA. You will be operating a tractor-trailer combination, maintaining communication with dispatch, and ensuring that deliveries are completed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. This position will be based out of Breslau, ON.

In this position, you will be home three days a week, allowing for a better work-life balance. Additionally, you will be driving modern and well-maintained equipment, equipped with the latest technology to support your safe and successful driving.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class AZ Commercial Drivers License
- Applicable Hazmat & Tank Endorsements
- Minimum 23 years of age
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Class AZ driver
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations in the past three years
- Ability to pass any applicable pre-employment drug screen or physical
- Ability to cross international ports of entry shared between Canada and the USA.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Knowledge of federal, provincial, state, and local regulations

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift, maneuver, and connect chemical hoses and fittings that weigh up to 75 pounds
- Ability to maintain 3 points of contact ascending and descending a ladder mounted on a tank trailer.
- Ability to visually identify performance wear, damages, and equipment imperfections.
- Ability to stand for the duration of loading and unloading liquid materials - averaging 2-4 hours on hard surfaces.
- Capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work from heights of 10-13 feet.

**Basic Knowledge**:

- Ability to complete and transmit vehicle and equipment inspections forms.
- Practice and demonstrate continuous defensive driving techniques and proper driving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with members of the Altom Transport Organization regarding services and external matters including safety related events.
- Maintain a high level of organization of paperwork, truck permit books, issued training materials including the Emergency Response Guide, Hazardous Materials Regulation Guidebook, and the FMC DOT Compliance Guidebook.
- Basic ability to properly navigate via a paper map or electronic device.
