Childcare Supervisor

Hours: Monday-Friday split shifts 7am-9am & 2pm-6pm on regular school days. Full day shifts on non-school days, Pro D days, Spring/summer break. Wage will depend on experience and education.

Main responsibilities:

- Train, support and supervise staff in providing engaging, interactive educational and recreational experiences.
- Supervise school aged children.
- Responsible for ensuring the centre is in compliance with licensing regulations.
- Liaise with parents and school board staff.
- Program planning and scheduling.
- Responsible for a variety of administrative duties, including but not limited to scheduling, billing, and picking up supplies.
- Maintain a strong relationship with school board staff and families.
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being of all children.
- Maintain records and files.
- Ability to problem solve and respond to concerns of staff and families.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise developmentally appropriate and safe activities for children.
- Responsible for staff training and supervision.
- Responsible for handling First Aid situations and emergencies.
- Set up care plans.
- Sending out newsletters.
- Assist in the set up and cleanup of activities at the Centre.
- Center maintenance including helping staff with maintaining the cleanliness of toys and all areas of the facility.
- Other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30-35 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Campbell River, BC V9W 6S3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
