Café Associate

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Follow all food handling guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

**Requirements**:

- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 24 per week
