At KVA we employ "Content Experts" rather than teachers. There is no class or group instruction. We have no classrooms. The learning support is one-on-one. We have meetings online as needed/negotiated between students and content experts, using Video Conferencing software. We use Google Classroom to support online learning, record-keeping, and full communication with students and their parents/guardians/agents. Current needs: English, but other opportunities are available as well. Work is part-time (1 hour per week per student normally, sometimes a bit more). Schedule: Content Experts are not required to attend the school physically. Occasionally some aspects of learning require students' experiencing things first-hand, so provisions have to be made to support these experiences. Content experts are expected to post and maintain "available hours" for each week (ideally some hours in the first part of the week and some in the latter part) between 9am and 3pm weekdays so that students can ask for real-time meetings.
