**Position**: Toolmaker / Tool & Die

**Shift**: Day and Afternoon Shifts available

40 hours per week

**Rate of Pay**: $30 - $35/hour

**Date**: As soon as possible

**Duties**:

- The ability to machine, fit and assemble component parts and precision tooling with a quality and timely focus to build special-purpose machinery, fixtures, and automation projects.
- Assist other toolmakers as requested by Manufacturing Manager in areas such as mechanical build, coordination, bench assembly, floor assembly and integration fixtures and automation products to ensure that a quality product is built on time, safely and to budget.
- Set up and operate various machine tools, such as manual lathes and small mills.
- General housekeeping and cleaning up in work areas as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or trade certificate an asset.
- Three to five years of previous experience in manufacturing an asset.
- Experience in gauge and check fixtures an asset.
- Basic understanding of technical specifications, engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Basic knowledge of blueprints.
- Basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity operating various tool room machinery and equipment.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while still having the ability to work cooperatively within a team.
- Some heavy lifting may be required up to 50 lbs.
