Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support, and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Precinct Services department is seeking a client-focused, efficient, and organized individual for the regular full-time position of Building Mechanical Maintenance Technician.

Reporting to the Legislative Facility Services Manager, the Building Mechanical Maintenance Technician (BMMT) is responsible for performing various maintenance projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and planning work activities with third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Applicants must have:

- 2 years of work experience in a Property Management and/or Trades environment.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- Experience coordinating construction and maintenance projects is considered an asset.
- Experience working with cabinetry hardware, drywall plaster, scaffolding set-up, concrete work, T-Bar ceilings, demountable wall systems, paint, and staining is considered an asset.
