DUTIES:
The duties of the After-Hours Staff fall under the following categories:
**Maintenance and Cleaning**:
1. Clean and clear spills, slush, and snow from common areas, with a focus on entranceways.

2. Empty common area garbage cans as needed and pick up stray trash.

3. Complete and submit the supplies maintenance/building checklist nightly.

**Tenant Support**:
1. Carry a cell phone to receive after-hour calls from tenants regarding maintenance concerns.

2. Investigate and evaluate maintenance concerns, involving On Call Maintenance staff as required.

3. Follow instructions from On Call Maintenance staff, including contacting service contractors and providing access.

4. Make notes of changes in tenant behavior for review by tenant support staff.

5. Walk around the common areas to develop a familiarity with tenants and their visitors.

**Security and Safety**:
1. Monitor the entry and departure of tenants and their visitors.

2. Write reports of unusual occurrences.

3. Inform people of rules if necessary; no enforcement is required.

4. Call the police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or other life-threatening situations, and provide emergency services required access.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance, cleaning, or security roles is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Experience working in marginalized communities is an asset.

**Working Conditions**:

- The position requires working after regular business hours, including weekends.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, shoveling, walking and cleaning.
- Exposure to various weather conditions while performing outdoor tasks.
- Prolonged sitting at desk.

Pay: $24.95-$26.93 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
