A private household is looking for a Live-in Caregiver - Senior with Dementia
Education: Secondary school diploma with a Certificate as a Caregiver or Health related program.
Asset languages: Tagalog and English.
Work setting: On-site. Accommodation is available.
Tasks: Administer bedside and personal care. Provide companionship. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Required to feed the client. Administer medications. Provide personal care, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk. Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder) including care for pet. Launder clothing and household linens. Mend clothing and linens. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Required to take a note of household supplies and shopping.
Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate.
Cuisine specialties: Filipino cuisine.
Security and safety: Criminal record check.
Immunization records. Medical exam. Tuberculosis test.
Reference required.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods.
Weight handling: Up to 50 kg (110 lbs).
Excellent oral communication. Flexibility, Good Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Punctuality, Dependability.
Currently legally able to work in Canada.
Have previous experience in this field of work.
Experience: 1 year. Experience will be given preference
