Construction Surveyor

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in heavy civil excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are currently looking to hire a Construction Surveyor to join our growing team in the HRM area. Reporting to management, this position is responsible for providing accurate & comprehensive information to Supervisors, Forman, Project Managers & other relevant team members in a manner consistent with company values, policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of surveying experience, preferably with Trimble Equipment
- Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field training.
- Proficiency with Robotic Total Station as well as GNSS survey equipment is required.
- Must have a valid class 5 Drivers License and an acceptable Drivers Abstract.
- Previous experience using CAD (Carlson) and Trimble Access considered an asset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Consistently work in a safe & efficient manner.
- Work well in a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide control lines and elevations required for accurate measurements and correct installation of materials.
- Collect data using GPS/Total station ensuring quality control at all times.
- Coordinate with co-workers and management to ensure the proper requirements are being met.
- Maintain company equipment.
- Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Other duties as required.
