**About Potash**
- The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP’s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.
Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. **Work Location**
- This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule for this role is seven days on, seven days off (7x7).
- As this role is not eligible for accommodation in the site camp, the incumbent must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Jansen site. BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a relocation allowance.
**Purpose**
- Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Operator contributes to the to the transport, and delivery of freight and products and goods being received into the business and management of warehouse operations, involving the handling and management of goods and products.
**About the Role**
- In this role, you will:
- Safely executes the storage, handling, and transport of goods in alignment with safety standards and global Warehousing processes, including material preservation and preventative maintenance- Performs duties to ensure safe and compliant consignment, loading, and transport of materials including handling, storage, and transport of all goods (e.g. HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods)- Enacts and follows the global Warehousing processes, procedures, and transactions with respect to reception, consolidation, and delivery of goods and materials- Identifies and records hazards, and ensures personal actions mitigate risk in the work environment, including warehouse critical risks- Monitors and takes action to preserve optimum material condition, as informed by relevant local strategies (including critical parts)- Obtains information needed in the safe administration of contracts in the warehouses as required by the BHP Contract Management Framework (CMF)- Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimization, and maximize value- Applies knowledge of relevant commercial industry trends to propose actions that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain.- Understands and applies the relevant requirements and standards relating to the management and treatment of risk- Speaks up about threats and opportunities, seeks to learn from success and failure, and takes responsibility for managing risks and issues
**About You**
- 2-3 years of relevant industry experience in Materials Management
- Materials Management, inventory control, logistics experience, preferably in the Potash mining industry
- Knowledge of Materials Management, Inventory control, and expediting practices within an MRP system, preferably SAP recommended
- Possess experience operating forklifts in a warehousing environment
- Awareness of Dangerous Goods storage, handling and transport requirements
- Computer skills commensurate with job responsibilities
