**Job Description**:
As the Trim Buyer, you will contribute to Laura Canada's success by ensuring to negotiate the best prices for trims and fabrics and by meeting deadlines.

**How will you support the team?**
- Work with the Designers to understand the trends and trims required.
- Research and develop treatments and trims.
- Meet with domestic suppliers.
- Maintain the catalog of completed trim searches.
- Look after trim sourcing and development and maintain inventory.
- Negotiate costs and volume buys.
- Determine the quantities to be ordered (metering) in comparison with the consumption of previous styles (estimated).
- Purchase trims and fabrics and follow up to meet delivery schedules.
- Receive and distribute trimmings upon delivery.
- Follow up on fabric approvals and recolorations (lab dips and strike-offs).
- Communicate with overseas suppliers, local suppliers and internal departments to ensure that follow-ups are completed within the required time frame.
- Negotiate and purchase required supplies for the operation of the sample room, Pattern-makers and Fit Technicians.

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Detail and oriented and organized.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Team players.
- Bilingual in French and English.
