In this role, you will focus on both new client acquisition as well as account management and growing “share of wallet” with our existing customers across a well-diversified set of industries. You will be a key contributor to the company’s growth and help our clients greatly improve the air quality in their facilities. You will build relationships, foster prospects, nurture your sales pipeline and sell BGE’s solutions to a diverse set of customers in your region.

**Job title**: Outside Sales Account Manager

**Job overview**: The Outside Sales Account Manager works with a consultative sales approach in delivering indoor air quality solutions to our established customer base, developing new business relationships, and educating customers on the importance of quality filtration.

**Reports to**: Regional Sales Manager

**Hours of work**: Monday - Friday (8:00AM-4:30PM). Working outside of these hours is required for afterhours meetings, training, travel and emergency calls. Overnight travel is required.

**Tasks, duties and responsibilities**:

- Maintain sales territory with the expectation of sales growth and new customer growth
- Regularly maintains and updates sales opportunities through the CRM
- Manages existing customer accounts in designated territory
- Works closely with the Technical Advisor to introduce new products to the marketplace
- Ensure that all contracts and commitments are kept with customers
- Complete customer orders, quotations, bids, and surveys accurately and promptly
- Develop a written an annual Territory sales plan and consults with your manager. Discuss tactical objectives, sales goals, and performance with your manager and the Sales team in meetings
- Maintain call frequencies to existing customers and prospects that moves new opportunities through the sales funnel, from qualification to close, tracking progress in the CRM
- Complete quarterly reviews with your Sales Manager to ensure you are meeting your objectives for the territory
- Support and collaborate with Marketing, other Account Managers, and the Customer Service Team to deliver and improve our quality filtration presentations and education to our customers such as Clean Air Clinics
- Work with other departments to provide customers with best quality filtration and cost-effective filtration solutions. Regularly visit customers to discuss BGE service level, or sell the value of service contracts, filtration performance, opportunities to perform other work and resolve current issues
- Complete site surveys of all new customer facilities and documents filtration needs, special requirements and equipment locations utilizing the Aircheck process and supporting tools and documents these in the CRM
- Maintain accurate and complete customer account information through use of the CRM and ensure that any customer information changes are documented within the tool
- Continue to increase your product knowledge and expertise in Indoor Air Quality and Filtration through training and meetings as well as any vendor training necessary for your job’s functions
- Participate in marketing plans, trade shows, mail outs, proposal packages
- Participate and prepare for Annual Sales Meeting
- Adopt best-in-class sales philosophies for further development of your sales and consulting skills.
- Performs work in a safe manner and is a safety culture leader both internally and at customer sites. Conducts job hazard assessments routinely, before any site survey is completed, or hands-on work is done. Other duties as assigned

**Physical requirements**: Standing; walking; bending; working in confined spaces, dusty environments; exposure to extreme temperatures, heights, noise and heavy lifting up to 23kg (50lbs).
