**JOB DESCRIPTION: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, GODERICH, ON**
Reporting to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician will oversee and initiate maintenance and general repairs for the property and fulfill the company's responsibilities to its residents at Bluewater Country located in Sarnia, ON**. Due to the nature of this position, it requires an on-site presence and does not qualify for any present or future work from home.**

**What you will be doing**:
- Customer Relations_
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Be a positive role model and lead by example
- Build solid brand recognition for the property based on delivery of service
- Ensure a safe environment for residents and employees
- Provide ongoing communication with the Property Manager and inform of all pertinent activities within the property on a daily basis
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the Property Manager
- Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and always ensuring a professional appearance and attitude
- Property Operations_
- Facilitate and coordinate all maintenance, general repairs, and usage of equipment, in common areas only. This includes maintenance and management of the sewer, water, and electrical systems
- Assist in snow removal, grass cutting, bed maintenance and general clean up throughout all common areas of the property along with other maintenance tasks as requested by the Property Manager.
- Facilitate all aspects of pool and Recreation Centre maintenance, working as part of a team to ensure daily pool chemical checks are completed
- Participate in any projects set forth by Parkbridge operations, including capital projects
- Complete other miscellaneous administrative duties: i.e., Updating Preventative Maintenance Schedules, Implementation of policies and procedures or various tasks as assigned by the Property Manager
- Weekly “Walk the Property” tours conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with Parkridge’s Rules and Regulations - Guidelines for Community Living.
- Regularly attend meetings when required
- Promote and maintain a positive working relationship with all local business partners and stakeholders
- Health and Safety_
- Ensure all property activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Ensure that all property facilities are maintained in safe condition
- Immediately notify management when operations are unsafe and/or beyond normal repair
What you bring to the table
- High School Diploma or general education degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a related industry
- Must have a valid G-class driver’s license
- Good analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis
- Must be available for sewer, water and property emergencies outside normal operating hours
