Forklift Operator

**Shift: Monday to Sunday 7:00AM to 11:00PM - According to your availability**

**DUTIES**:

- Operate Material Handling Equipment (Counterbalance).
- Move material through the facility as required.
- Work in a fast-paced environment building pallets with product to be shipped to fill customer orders.
- Moving pallet to correct locations by reading & scanning labels.
- Ensure tasks get done on-time and accurately.
- Scan product to pallet using an RF Handheld.
- Provide materials to the picking line by physically moving them from stock points along the line, off trailers, and from other storage areas.
- Makes sure to replenish locations with the right product.
- Use RF guns to scan items/boxes used for replenishment.
- Actively communicate with supervisors and colleagues to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns.
- Properly document work performed.
- Assist in the effective completion of inventory audits.
- Stacks pallets in designated areas. Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas.
- Demonstrate respect for the organization’s values on a daily basis, while maintaining and upholding company policies & procedures.
- Other duties as required.

**HEALTH & SAFETY**:

- Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws.
- Work in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies, procedures.
- Always wear or use protective equipment.
- Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor.
- Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others.
- Must not put other workers at risk by your actions.

**EDUCATION**:

- High School Diploma.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- At least 1-year warehouse experience operating material handling equipment.
- Walkie Operator experience and certification with proven track record for safety.
- Experience with a RF scanner.

**CORE COMPETENCIES**:

- Proven communication both written and verbal (French or English).
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, lifting and walking for extended periods of time.
- Service orientated with strong customer service skills and commitment to quality of work.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Able to lift, on average 50 lbs, repetitively and safely.
- Strong team player, but also able to work effectively independently.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills - able to follow instructions.
- Organized and shows strong attention to detail.
- Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) would be a definite asset.

**Quart: Lundi au Dimanche de 7h00 - 23h00 - Selon vos disponibilités**

**TÂCHES**:

- Utiliser l’équipement de manutention tel que le contrebalance.
- Déplacez le matériel à travers l'installation au besoin.
- Travaillez dans un environnement de travail à rythme accélérer en construisant des palettes avec le produit pour compléter les commandes des clients.
- Déplacer les palettes au bon endroit en lisant et en scannant les étiquettes.
- S'assurer que les tâches sont effectuées à temps et avec précision.
- Scanner le produit sur la palette à l'aide du scanner de poche RF.
- Fournir des matériaux à la ligne en déplaçant les produits le long de la chaîne, hors des remorques et d'autres zones de stockage.
- S'assure de remplir avec le bon produit.
- Utilisez le scanner RF pour scanner les articles / boîtes utilisés pour le réapprovisionnement.
- Communiquer activement avec les superviseurs et les collègues pour gérer efficacement le matériel et les informer des problèmes / préoccupations.
- Documenter correctement le travail effectué.
- Aider avec les vérifications d'inventaire.
- Empiler les palettes dans des zones désignées. Nettoyer et éliminer le carton.
- Faire preuve de respect envers les valeurs de l'organisation au quotidien, tout en maintenant et en appliquant les politiques et procédures de l'entreprise.
- Autres tâches tel que requis.

- Suivre la loi sur la santé et la sécurité au travail, y compris la sécurité, la violence et les lois sur le harcèlement.
