Bureau Veritas is looking for a **Janitor** to join our laboratory/office in Saint-Laurent, QC.

**Your main responsibilities are**:

- Perform routine maintenance within the laboratory (e.g. cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen, mopping and sweeping floors);
- Ensure any safety related maintenance items are addressed promptly;
- Perform outside building and grounds maintenance (e.g. snow removal, spring clean-up, windows);
- Provide support to the Facilities Supervisor as required;
- Act as a backup point of contact for the landlord and contractors who have responsibility for maintenance of laboratory and building equipment (e.g. HVAC, make-up air unit, plumbing, electrical);
- Any other related tasks.
- Have a high school diploma (required);
- Have 1 year of general maintenance or equivalent experience preferred;
- Are eager to learn and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail;
- Proactive, have a positive attitude and great multitasking abilities.

**Working Conditions**:

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4PM to midnight and every second Saturday;
- High level of work production (fast paced environment);
- Hands on building maintenance work; such as: climbing, bending, lifting;
- The job requires flexible working hours, and some extended hours as required;
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted;
- Ability to work on your feet for long hours;
- Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment.
