Production Worker

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Loading, Unloading, and Trimming of Glass**:

- Carefully position and secure glass sheets onto the production line or designated loading areas, ensuring proper alignment to prevent damage. Utilize appropriate lifting equipment or techniques to handle glass safely and efficiently.
- Remove finished glass products from the production line or curing area, ensuring that they are handled with care to prevent breakage. Check for any issues and place the glass in designated storage or packaging areas.
- Place and align the PVB interlayer between glass sheets according to specified measurements and quality standards. Ensure that the interlayer is evenly distributed and free from wrinkles or defects to maintain product integrity.
- Use specialized tools or machinery to trim excess glass or refine edges to meet product specifications. Perform trimming with accuracy to ensure a high-quality finish and adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect glass products for defects or damage, such as cracks, chips, or irregularities. Report any issues to supervisors and ensure that damaged products are properly handled and segregated to avoid affecting production quality.

**2. Read and Interpret Basic Drawings**:

- Review and understand technical drawings or schematics to determine glass dimensions, interlayer specifications, and assembly instructions. Translate these instructions into actionable tasks on the production floor.
- Provide support to other production operators by assisting with tasks such as setup, machine operation, or troubleshooting. Collaborate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and address any production issues that arise.

**3. Machine Operation**:

- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of production equipment and workspaces to ensure a safe and efficient working environment; remove debris, wipe down surfaces, and ensure all areas are free from hazards, etc.
- Gain skills and knowledge in other areas of production or related departments to increase versatility and support overall operations; learn new tasks, operate different machinery, understand different production processes, etc.

**4. Other Duties**:

- Organize and package glass and related materials according to company standards and customer specifications. Ensure that products are correctly labeled, documented, and prepared for shipment or storage.
- Operate push-pull cranes and powered pallet jacks to move glass and materials efficiently around the production area. Follow safety protocols and ensure proper use of equipment to prevent accidents and damage.
- Adhere to a set production schedule; ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adjust to any changes or delays in the schedule while maintaining productivity.
- Be prepared to perform additional tasks or take on responsibilities beyond the primary job duties as directed by supervisors or management. This could include emergency tasks, special projects, or temporary adjustments to the production process.

Required Qualifications
- More than one year of experience with setting up and operating PVB and Edgers/CNC Machines
- Minimum six months of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Minimum six months of experience in reading imperial and metric tape measures
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience with crane operation is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams is an asset.
