Janitor/cleaner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Cleaner to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our employees and visitors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials properly
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, such as hallways, lobbies, and break rooms
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the appropriate department
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors

Note: Job locations: Oshawa & Whitby, Ontario.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $16.79-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
