Aunt Leah’s Independent Lifeskills Society is hiring **Seasonal Sales Associates** to support the day-to-day operations of our **2025 Annual Christmas Tree Lot Fundraiser** — a joyful community tradition that directly supports **youth aging out of foster care and young moms at risk of losing custody**.

You’ll be at the heart of the action, helping customers find their perfect tree, managing inventory, training volunteers, and keeping your tree lot clean, safe, and festive. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that’s great for people with retail, volunteer coordination, or outdoor event experience.

This full-time seasonal position runs from **November 17 to December 22, 2025** (or earlier, if we sell out). Shifts are **32 to 37.5 hours per week**, including **evenings and weekends**. Locations are in **Vancouver and Burnaby** and accessible by transit.

**easonal Sales Associate - Christmas Tree Fundraiser**

**Location**: Metro Vancouver (Vancouver & Burnaby Tree Lot Locations)
**Schedule**:32-37.5 hrs/week, flexible shifts (9am-9pm), incl. evenings & weekends
**Pay**: $22.00/hour
**Start Date**: November 17, 2025
**End Date**: December 22, 2025 (or earlier, if inventory sells out)
**Reports To**: Social Enterprise Lead

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Undergo and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions; waterproof clothing & footwear is required
- This position involves physical work moving objects weighing up to 50lbs
- Basic knowledge of working with tools - drills, hammers, loppers, saws

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Participating in site setup and take down
- Daily opening and closing of the tree lot
- Counting and tracking tree lot inventory
- Identifying and assessing customers needs to achieve satisfaction, providing product information
- Wrapping trees and tying trees to customers’ vehicles
- Supervising, orienting and training volunteers
- Supervising and handling point of sale register & Square POS App
- Daily financial reconciliation and reporting
- Managing and participating in the unloading of suppliers’ tree deliveries
- Ensuring tree lots are clean, safe, and secure according to Aunt Leah’s Health and Safety policies

**What You Bring**:

- Sales or customer service experience
- Great people skills and a positive attitude
- Able to work **independently outdoors** in all weather
- Experience supervising volunteers or small teams
- Basic comfort with hand tools (training provided)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to lift up to **50 lbs** safely
- Commitment to Aunt Leah’s mission and values

**Bonus If You Have**:

- First Aid Certification
- Valid BC driver’s license + access to vehicle
- Experience in non-profit, fundraising, or donor-supported settings

- Our Christmas Tree Lots are located in Burnaby (All Saints Anglican Church - Royal Oak & Rumble) and Vancouver - Kerrisdale (St. Stephen’s United Church - 54th & Granville). While we will do our best to accommodate your preference, we cannot guarantee placement at a specific location. Which location would you prefer to work at: Burnaby, Vancouver - Kerrisdale, or are you open to either?
