ALG is currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join our defence client's team in Tingalpa. This is a casual contract with full-time hours and the possibility of a permanent position with our client in the future.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Assemble aerospace mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic sub-systems and components.
- Install aerospace fasteners, standoffs, rivets, and other hardware to meet specified standards.
- Mark parts using various inks and equipment according to customer quality requirements.
- Install hardware using shrink fitment techniques.
- Keep processes moving and on schedule through initiative.
- Support other tradesmen and trades assistants in aerospace production tasks.
- Maintain general housekeeping.

**Key Requirements**:

- Proficiency in aerospace assembly techniques, including the use of hand tools and hand-operated power tools.
- Experience with measuring equipment such as Verniers and micrometres.
- Ability to read and follow drawings and technical instructions.
- Trade qualification or higher in Engineering or Manufacturing (e.g., Certificate III in an Engineering Discipline such as Sheet Metal or Machining, or Cert II or Cert VI in Aero skills).
- Computer literacy, with the ability to understand 3D models and extract key measurement data.
