Position: General Laborer

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Company:
iFab Welding and Fabrication is hiring a general laborer to work in Fort Saskatchewan with the aspiration to become a welder’s apprentice. iFab has been providing cost effective pipe and structural steel fabrication, field construction and maintenance services to our valued clients for over a decade.

We provide structural steel services from design and engineering to fabrication and field installation. In addition, we provide full carbon and stainless-steel pipe fabrication. Our stainless piping shop is maintained as a separate, clean facility.

Position:
You will work with our shop team to provide general help with shop duties. Duties include operating equipment, loading and offloading trucks, cleaning the shop, ground maintenance, etc.

LABORER DESCRIPTION
- Be able to lift 20 kilograms
- Work standing on feet for long periods of time
- Physically fit to climb stairs and lift overhead
- Work in steel and piping fabrication shop environment
- Work with Drivers as a helper when required
- Work completing daily tasks including, but not limited to:

- Cleaning shop floor and material storage areas
- Work with Tradesmen as required
- Work outside in yard completing clean up
- Assist in keeping the fabrication shop clear of safety hazards
- Participate in company safety and training programs as required

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Accept and follow direction from supervisor
- Possess CSTS
- Steel toed boots in good condition
- Good written and communication skills in English
- Can start immediately.
- Able to work at Fort Saskatchewan shop 7am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 7am to 11am
- Work overtime as requested with notice

NOTE;
Any welding tickets, clean drivers abstract, H2S, forklift ticket etc. could increase employment and compensation opportunity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
