**Role and Responsibilities** **Cyber Security Operations Specialist** **Your Mission** CAE is looking for a Cyber Security Operations Specialist to join our team and help us protect our network and systems from cyber threats. You will be responsible for working in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), managing various cyber technologies, reviewing, and approving security requests, analyzing, and improving security tools, creating reports, working as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in incident response, and providing security support for our clients. As a Cyber Security Operations Specialist, you will have a strong background in information security, network security, and cyber security best practices. You will also have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with other security professionals, IT staff, and business stakeholders to ensure the security and compliance of our organization. **Responsibilities** - Monitor and maintain DLP policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction of data - Manage and configure various cyber technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, VPN, SIEM, IDS/IPS, etc. - Review and approve security requests, such as access rights, firewall rules, software installation, etc. - Analyze and improve security tools, processes, and controls to enhance the security posture and performance of our network and systems - Create and update security reports, dashboards, and metrics to measure and communicate the effectiveness of security operations - Design and implement cloud security solutions for AWS and Azure platforms, using native and third-party tools and services - Monitor and audit cloud security configurations and compliance using Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, AWS GuardDuty, Amazon Cloudtrail and other cloud security tools - Respond to and remediate cloud security incidents and alerts using Sentinel and other cloud security tools - Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and guidelines - Provide cloud security guidance and best practices to internal and external stakeholders - Work as SMEs in incident response, providing technical guidance, coordination, and support to respond to and recover from security incidents - Provide security support for our clients, such as conducting security assessments, audits, tests, and reviews, and providing security recommendations and solutions - Research and stay updated on the latest cyber security trends, threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices - Participate in security awareness and training programs for staff and clients **Requirements**: - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cyber security operations, preferably in a similar role - Professional certification in cyber security and cloud technologies, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, SANS, AWS, Azure Sentinel, etc. - Proficient in DLP and other cyber security technologies, tools, and frameworks - Knowledge of cyber security standards, regulations, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, CMMC, etc. - Experience in cloud security engineering, preferably in AWS and Azure environments - Familiarity with cloud security tools and services, such as Sentinel, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, etc. - Certification in cloud security, such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, etc. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively - Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex security problems - Ability to fill in other roles and duties as required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field (asset) **Here are few reasons why folks love working at CAE** - Meaningful work that drives professional development - Ability to enter and grow within the technology industry - Work in a collaborative environment - Be part of a high-performance team **What we have to offer** - _ Benefits:_ fully flexible for you to choose what is important - _ Retirement:_ Defined Benefits Retirement Plan & Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) - _ Financial Perks:_ Employee Stock Purchase Plan & numerous corporate discounts - _ Personal and Family Programs:_ Physical Wellness Plan & Supplementary Maternity Plan - _ Work-Life Balance:_ Flextime & California Fridays all year - _ Fun at work:_ social and community events all-year round (#LI-CL1) **Position Type** Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
