We are currently seeking a _**Yard Laborer**_to join our team.

**Summary**

The Yard Laborer is responsible for selection and outbound shipping. Additional primary responsibilities include the operation of electric power jacks and forklift equipment to move inventory.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Safely place goods and remove goods
- Practice and promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures
- Examining stock to verify conformance to quality standards when received
- Ensure outbound loads are secure and fit for safe transport
- Accept and provide shipping paperwork for inbound and outbound driving staff
- Adheres to work schedules and provides flexibility based on fluctuations in customer activity
- Load and unloading goods from trailers or other trucks
- Process consumable products or partial pallet shipments when required
- Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with customer and external parties
- Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment if required
- Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines
- Other duties related to goals of warehouse

**Qualification requirements**

High School diploma or equivalent with good communication and organizational skills. Basic technological skills are recommended to help ensure accurate inventory tracking. A forklift certification per OSHA standards is also a requirement

**Physical Requirements**

Regular sitting on a powered industrial truck and standing on a deep reach lift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time; have a good sense of balance with hand and foot coordination with ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights. Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
