Certified Dental Assistant

Vancouver, Canada Shaughnessy Family Dental Full time

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and turnover operatories
- Take digital dental radiographs
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Perform and manage sterilization duties
- Perform various office tasks as necessary

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with dental software: Open Dental
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and staff effectively
- Certification in Dental Radiography is required
- Experience in pediatrics, orthodontics
- Chinese speaking (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset
