Job brief

We are currently looking for a full-time Carpenter/Renovator with at least 20 years’ experience in residential renovations. Being punctual and displaying a positive attitude is a must. The job will entail working in diverse settings to produce quality work. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. This person will work an average of 40 hours per week Monday-Friday and his/her wage will be based upon experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp the requirements
- Must have his/her own hand tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license and owning his/her own transportation is favourable
- Communicate with helpers and subtrades on site to accomplish desired details on drawings
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
- Precision lay outs that are accurate and ensure a clean crisp finish
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as carpenter/ renovator
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials and problem solving on residential sites
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, drills, hammers, etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance

**Salary**: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
