Mental Health Residential Support Worker

Abilities Community Services has a number of new positions for skilled Residential Support Worker supporting an individual with intellectual disabilities who also experiences mental health challenges in their home. **This position will use a 12 hour 4 on 4 off rotating schedule.**
- **Note: Applicants Must Be Fully Vaccinated and have a Class 5 License.**

**Responsibility of the position includes, but is not limited to**:

- Supporting adults with mental health challenges and developmental disabilities
- De-escalating crisis situations
- Work on goals contained in Person Centered Plans
- Take part in planning options for participants
- Food and meal preparation
- Household chores
- Medication administration
- Personal care
- Any other tasks as may be necessary
- Must work well in a team environment
- Willing to work some weekend on rotation

**Qualifications**:

- Current First Aid/CPR Level C
- Food Safe
- A clean criminal reference check
- Medical clearance including a recent negative TB test
- Non Violent Intervention Training
- CSW diploma or relevant work experience
- Class 5 driver's license Required

**Compensation**:

- Wage will be determined by the number of years/hours that you have worked and will follow the Community Living Services Collective Agreement
- Wages range from $21.63 - $25.19
- Job Type: Permanent Full-time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $47,174.00-$52,395.00 per year

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Driver's License (required)

Work Location: One location
