Production Line Operator

The Line Operator is responsible for properly operating the lavash and pita mixer's and production lines to produce quality products. They work under the discretion of the Line Operator Trainer and/or Production Supervisor.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities:

- Set up and adjust equipment for safe operation.
- Clean areas as you work and at the end of each shift
- Follow the GMP’s rules and abide by WHMIS practices.
- Follow color-coding system to prevent cross-contamination.
- Operate line within the operating parameter provided & optimal effectiveness
- Verify production quantity with Team Lead
- Adjust the machine to set temperature and speed, conduct water testing for seal test, package integrity.
- Document corrective action taken for/out of control process.
- Accurately record data such as lot #’s.
- Able to trouble shoot operational issues and call for help as and when required
- Ensure packaging items are used in a FIFO system.
- Ensure quality product meeting quality defined by company i.e. color, size, bake etc.
- Check products for defects and perform corrective machine adjustments as necessary.
- Report any problems to shift supervisor on a timely basis.
- Working knowledge about food allergens, Gluten Free products & handling.
- Always work safely, keep work area clean and tidy, wear proper PPE, ensure product meets proper quality food safety standard and work to GMP rules
- Shared commitment to the development and continuing improvement of a positive food safety and quality culture

Skills & Experience Requirements:

- Secondary school education preferred.
- Experience as a line operator in food processing.
- On-the-job training is provided and Shift timing would be 8 to 12 hrs
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts and procedures.
- Problem solving skill with independent judgments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 Ibs.
- Familiar with HACCP policies.
