There's a seat at our table for you... **_Position Summary: _** Presents a positive image to Gordon Food Service (GFS) non-commercial customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of GFS products. Serves as liaison between GFS management and customers. Communicates customer issues and concerns. Operates GFS equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail with working knowledge of refrigerated, delivery Vans over 10001 lb GCVW but less than 26001 lb GCVW. Works on a Sales Service route as a helper as needed, when Van loads are not available. Must pass the required sales service representative physical ability test for area hired. **Hours Of Work**: - Typically 40 hours/week, with opportunity for overtime - Four (4) 10-hour days with 3 days off per week **What We Offer**: - Starting rate of $18.15, Eligible to go to top rate of $21.25 per hour after completing 12 months - Performance incentives available after 3 months - Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EFAP Benefits after 30 days of employment - FULL flex benefits program - Steel toe boot reimbursement - Company matching RRSP - Profit Sharing - 125 year, family owned and operated company history - Pay for performance incentive program after 3 months - Local routes -> guaranteed to be home every day - Family culture and advancement opportunities **_Essential Functions: _** - Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products. - Build and maintain good customer relationships. Demonstrates self-control. - Accurately collects customer payments. Safeguards company funds and follows GFS banking policies. - Performs all Sales Service functions by the 90 th day of employment. - Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in timely manner. - Complete daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors. - Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns. - Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time. Manage paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc - Develop and maintain a good working relationship with other GFS employees. - Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas.
