**Violin Instructor, 1-year contract - September 1, 2025 - August 31, 2026**
- Days & Hours of Work: Flexible based on Instructor’s Availability Hourly Rate:

- Estimated at around $52/hr, negotiable.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:

- A Master’s degree in music with violin teaching experience; experience teaching young children is considered an asset.
- The successful applicant will be assigned a teaching studio at the Conservatory of Music and will have access to performance spaces and have opportunities for their students to participate in masterclasses, recitals and other events.
- This position will be able to work around the needs of the Department of Music’s Studio Teacher assignments, as necessary. Based on the current need in this community, the estimated amount of teaching in the first year will be approximately 10-15 hours per week, for approximately 32 weeks per year.
- Please note that this position is an independent contractor and not an employee, servant or agent of the University of Lethbridge.

**Studio Teacher — Violin**

**Responsibilities**:

- Studio instruction will be dependent on enrollments and paid on a fee-for-service basis (approximately $884/student/semester for private lessons and $73.65/hour for masterclasses/jury and recital evaluation). A minimum of a Master’s degree is required.
