**Job Summary**

Hero Support Services Incorporated is a province-wide community support agency dedicated to empowering youth, children, adults, and families through compassionate, personalized services. We provide flexible, non-residential, in-person support designed to foster growth, independence, and community belonging.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide individualized support and mentorship to clients of all ages with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with life skills coaching including hygiene, meal preparation, budgeting, and social development.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Support clients during community outings, schools reintegration, and recreational activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in home care or assisted living settings.
- Respite care for families and caregivers.
- Document client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals as needed.
- Implement behavioural intervention programs which may include crisis prevention and conflict resolution.
- Adhere to all agency policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of two years experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, developmental and physical disabilities, dual diagnosis, mental health and behavioural issues.
- University Degree or College Diploma in PSW, DSW, ACSW or in a relevant field.
- Valid First AID and CPR certifications
- Current crisis intervention training (CPI, Safe Management, UMAB or equivalent)
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid drivers license, car insurance and access to a reliable vehicle with ability to commute within your surrounding area and cities within Ontario.
- Compassionate attitude towards working with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
