**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, and carpet shampoo machine.
- Cleans lobby, rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
- Perform regular laundry attendant duties as required
- Washes walls and ceiling, move furniture, and turn mattress.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes the floor.
- Dusts and polishes.
- Pick up clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry.
- Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.
- Assist with the heavy lifting when super cleaning/spring cleaning of rooms.
- Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.
- Remove soiled linen and trash from the service area and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
- Assist with placing bed boards, moving furniture for detailed cleaning etc.
- Report missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors.
- Respond always in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
- Take up any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Must be available to work past August 31st, THIS IS NOT JUST A SUMMER JOB
- Previous cleaning or hotel-related experience is an asset.
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to bend, extend arm reach overhead, kneel and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be able to push with 20 lbs of force and pull with 30 lbs of force to maneuver a stocked cart.
- Must be in good health.
- Must be available to work weekends & shift work.
