**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a tech-savvy and creative **Junior E-Learning Assistant** to support our education team this summer. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates with an interest in instructional design, digital content development, or public health education. You'll contribute to the development, organization, and enhancement of interactive online training modules that are used by healthcare professionals across the country.
**Position Eligibility (Canada Summer Jobs Program)**:
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria as set by Service Canada:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Note: International students are not eligible under this program.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**E-Learning Content Development**
- Assist with building and editing e-learning courses using platforms like Articulate Rise/Storyline, LearnDash, or similar tools
- Help design visual and interactive elements to enhance learner engagement
- Support the creation of quizzes, knowledge checks, and downloadable resources
- Ensure accessibility standards and design best practices are followed
**Course Management & Testing**
- Help upload and organize content within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Test and review course functionality for accuracy, broken links, or navigation issues
- Assist in organizing course files, metadata, and learner resources
**Instructional Design Support**
- Assist with translating technical content into user-friendly, digestible formats
- Help storyboard or map out modules in a logical and engaging sequence
**Research & Quality Assurance**
- Stay current with e-learning trends and contribute suggestions for improvement
- Assist in reviewing course content for clarity, consistency, and branding
- Support evaluation of course effectiveness and participant feedback summaries
**Eligibility and Requirements**:
To qualify for this position under the **Canada Summer Jobs** program, you must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary program in instructional design, education, health sciences, communications, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills, especially for digital learning environments
- Familiarity with e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, LearnDash, Canva, Google Suite)
- Interest in public health, education, or healthcare is an asset
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Experience with accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG) is a bonus
- French language skills are considered an asset
**Contract Details**:
- **Term**: 8 weeks (May 12, 2025 - July 4, 2025)
- **Hours**: 35 hours per week
- **Hourly Rate**: TBD (based on funding and experience)
- **Extension**: May be extended based on performance and company needs
