**Communications Specialist**

This contract position supports the mission of Bravestone Centre. As a member of our team, you would be responsible for social media posting, engaging with our social media community, developing social media strategy in collaboration with other team members, social media advertising and tracking/analytics. This is a fast-paced job that requires adaptability, quick work, attention to detail, and an ability to problem solve in the moment. This role reports to the Executive Director.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement social media strategies including scheduling and posting content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and possible additional platforms.
- Create information and graphics for posts, newsletters, news stories, and as required.
- Plan and execute strategies to drive social media traffic to our websites
- Collaborate on monthly content calendar
- Be primary person to engage with our social media community.
- Review success of campaigns and develop ways to improve
- Stay up to date and experimenting with new trends in social media
- Project manage various marketing-related campaigns
- Innovate ways to reach our target audiences through digital marketing projects and beyond

**Required Qualifications/Skills**:

- Demonstrable social media experience.
- Social media training such as a college or university level certificate or degree in a relevant field is an asset
- Experience identifying and creating campaigns for target audiences
- Knowledge and focus on analytics, ROI, and ability to capitalize on trends
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Experience in using Microsoft Office and social scheduling programs
- Strong writing skills and detail oriented
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Shows understanding and appreciation for diverse audiences
- An understanding of gender-based violence and impacts an asset
- Satisfactory Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check.

**Work Hours, Wages, and Contract term**:
This is a 20 hour/week contract position for the period of November 2024 to October 2025, with possible extension.

Wages: $27-$30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Much of the work is remote, however, in-person orientation to organization, and meetings will be required

Start date: ASAP-November 2024

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
