The immediate addition of a _**DZ Delivery Driver**_to complement our distribution team for deliveries in the Toronto and surrounding GTA area will assist Sargent Farms to continue to broaden our product offerings and expand our business through innovative and flexible solutions designed to meet our customer’s needs.

**Key Responsibilities of this position include**:

- Must be competent to safely operate an automatic transmission **AND** 6 speed and 10 speed **manual transmissions**, Single/Tandem axle - 18’ to 26’ reefer box truck.
- Safely transport and deliver fresh product to customers.
- Responsible for collecting and receiving product payment according to terms on invoice during deliveries - handling of cash and cheques which must correspond to invoice (trucks have onboard safes).
- Maintain accurate documentation. Responsible for product inventory accuracy prior to departure and during deliveries.
- Must have valid Ontario **DZ** license as a minimum.
- Clean drivers abstract and CVOR (within 30 days).
- Delivery experience with knowledge of GTA and surrounding region an asset.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Professional and presentable with excellent work ethics. Will act as an ambassador for Sargent Farms when dealing with public - friendly and courteous.
- Ability to fluently read, speak and write English.
- Clean criminal background. (Background check will be performed)
- Must perform standard safety pre-trip vehicle inspections as per M.T.O.
- Responsible to obey all Ontario Highway Traffic Code and Ministry of Transport laws,
- Work closely with logistics and sales representatives to provide superior customer support as a priority.
- Must be physically capable of repeatedly lifting cases weighing more than 50 lbs.
- 95% hand bombing deliveries while using a 2-wheeler dolly, trucks have ramps.

**'Monday to Friday'** work week with flexibility to cover the occasional Saturday.

11:00am daily start with varied finish times pending daily delivery schedules.

44 to 58 hours per week.

**$25.15** per hour plus a weekly attendance bonus of **$1.00** / hour. Over time after 44 hours.

**Hiring Requirements**:

- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Fluency in English; communicating, reading, and writing.
- Adequate mathematical skill.
- Ability to exercise initiative and prioritize work to maximize efficiency.
- Must be flexible in shift finish times.
- Successful applicant selected will need to complete a road test prior to hire.
- Positive reference checks.
