Pre-paint Team Member

**Position Summary**

The Pre-Paint Team Member is responsible for ensuring all parts are polished, blended, or deburred to meet quality standards by using tools such as hand scrapers, rotary tools, and sandpaper. The Pre-Paint Team Member will be required to work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and PakFab policies.

**Responsibilities**
- Masking racks and prepping of components for paint
- Clean rack and components by wiping off any oils, dust, debris, remove weld spatter, sharp edges and surface rust as required.
- Bolt, screw, clip, fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
- Visually inspect completed work for craftsmanship.
- Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids.
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair equipment and tools.
- Communicate with team members, supervisors, and managers from various departments to ensure jobs move into the queue when required.
- Disassemble materials from racks and totes when required.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and PakFab policies.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred
- Preferably possess a valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment

- Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques

**Work Conditions**
- Repetitive tasks, standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Noisy and dusty work environment
- Safety equipment will be required
- Overtime as required
- Hazards associated with the trade
