Andersons Butcher and Takeaway aims to be a 'one-stop shop' with a goal of providing the community with high quality, traceable and sustainable goods sourced from Canadian, family-run, and ethical farms. The focus of Andersons offerings will be meat, poultry, pork, and lamb along with house-made sausages, ready take-home meals, pantry goods and custom spices.

We are looking to add on to our deli team, for a server/cashier to help run the day to day operations for Anderson's Deli.
- Be friendly, helpful and efficient, ensuring that each customer has a positive and memorable experience
- Manage cash handling duties and receive debit/credit card payments using a POS system, ensure pricing is accurate
- Provide information and suggestions to the customer and find answers to any questions asked
- Escalate additional questions or complaints to management
- Take food orders
- Assist in maintaining a high level of store sanitation and cleanliness
- Other duties as assigned and as may be amended from time to time to meet company objectives

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Grade 12 preferred, will consider skills and competences of past experiences
- 1+ years’ experience in customer service is preferred
- Experience with **Clover (POS System) **not needed but useful.
- Certificate of Conduct required
- Willingness to be open to learning and growing
- Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Must have a strong work ethic and positive team attitude, communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary

Hours of Operation
- Mon/Tues - Closed for Prep Day
- Wed-Sat - 10:00am to 6:00pm
- Sun - 12:00pm to 5:00pm

**Who we are**:
Located on the corner of Water and Beck’s Cove, Andersons will call the historic Grace Building at 285 Water Street their new home. Our logo flips an 'A' upside down, turning it into an oxhead, but it represents more than just an icon for beef. It’s one of the oldest traced symbols of what we now refer to as the letter A, which further connects the brand to the Hon. John Anderson, who over 100 years ago stood where Andersons stands now. Anderson founded the building and operated a dry goods store from these premises from 1898 to 1913, dedicating his life to the community and paving the way for us to be here. Now we’re ready to take the torch and run with it.
