Maintenance Fulltime

**Position**:Fulltime Maintenance Person

**GENERAL**:

- Be supportive of the Tollendale Village Mission Statement.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding quality assurance and health and safety matters.
- Full time position 37.5 hrs weekly from Monday to Friday 7.5 hrs daily
- On call every third week and weekend
- Capable of performing all aspects of general maintenance duties as required

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Respond to clients’ maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems.
- Perform basic tasks including painting and drywall repair
- Light carpentry work and cabinet repair
- Window and Screen repair
- Maintenance of common areas and building structure
- Troubleshooting HVAC problems
- Grounds keeping including landscaping
- On call availability

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 3+ years experience in the construction industry
- 3 years experience in building/facilities maintenance an asset
- Mechanical experience (an asset)
- Minor electrical knowledge (an asset)
- Experience with a wide variety of tools, both light and heavy duty
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong initiative and team work skills

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to work independently
- 80 percent of work is indoors but require ability to work during inclement weather
- Physically capable of standing for long periods
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a Christian retirement setting
