Permanent Full Time The Individual Wealth Technology team within Application Delivery, Canada and Lifeco is seeking a **_Director, Technical Solutions_**. This role is a match for you if you are passionate about Wealth and working with business and technology teams to innovate, define, and deliver high quality technology solutions. **What you will do**: - Customer Relationship Management: Nurture relationships and collaboration_ - Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to the business areas by proactively building relationships to understand the business’ current state, short and long -term priorities, ensuring open and ongoing communication to proactively address any issues - Partner with preferred vendors to understand product roadmaps, recommend new solutions and ideas to drive both customer and business outcomes - Ensure leaders and team members cut through siloes to work together towards common goals - Direct People Leadership: Model our culture and values_ - Embody our employee promise: to inspire, value and empower our talent - Provide clarity around roles and responsibilities, priorities and invest in talent career development - Build a strong and empowered team to meet and exceed goals around delivery, adoption and support of technology services, while ensuring execution excellence and team engagement - Contribute to team, financial, and workforce planning - Lead and adapt to change; be an advocate for change and help minimize ambiguity for teams through change. - Technology Delivery, Adoption, Support_ - Consult with architects and business leaders on the best strategy, options, and technology roadmaps to meet client and business objectives - Directly collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize incoming portfolio components - Support delivery execution of business technology projects and large work packages - Leverage technology; share your knowledge by introducing team to enabling technologies and frameworks to better manage the environment and gain measurable efficiencies. - Create and manage metrics dashboards to showcase productivity, costs, demand, supply and spend, using a data driven approach for decision making - Support business stakeholders by coordinating escalations to resolve user incidents - Keep current on industry technology direction and best practices **What you will bring**: - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to hire, inspire, train/develop, performance manage and drive high employee engagement - Ability to respond to and generate urgency, create clarity thorough ambiguity, and pivot quickly when needed - Demonstrated experience in challenging the status quo and identifying areas of improvement (across people, process, and technology). - Preference and experience working in a complex environment that is rapidly evolving and ambiguous, with high expectations for excellence and achievement - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels, technical and non-technical, within the organization - Able to be "hands-on" with support when needed, but also have a strategic / business mindset - Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or computer science or equivalent experience - A minimum of 10+ years’ related experience supporting technology platforms and delivering projects/products to enable businesses capabilities The base salary for this position is between **$97,200.00****: - $170,500.00** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
