**Production Operator**

We are currently seeking a Production Operator to support our Peterborough team.

**Responsibilities**:
**Production**:

- Operate various machinery such as: End Closure Weld, Tack and Braze, Punch Press, Beryllium Coat, Cut to Length, Sort and Stack and Bundle Assembly Weld.
- Learn to operate machines, equipment, and computers.
- Keep up with high-speed equipment and/or production demand.

**Quality**:

- Strict adherence to prescribed procedures.
- Ensure high quality output.
- Take preventative action.

**Safety Awareness**:

- Strict adherence to Job Safety Hazard Analysis, Ontario Health & Safety Act & Regulations and all Plant Safety Rules/Protocols.
- Identify safety issues and concerns.
- Take corrective action; monitor the corrective action.
- Communicate all health and safety concerns to Supervisor and EHS.

**Technical and Professional Knowledge**:

- Understand technical terminology and developments.
- Perform complex tasks in area of expertise.

**Managing Work**:

- Prioritize.
- Leverage resources.
- Stay focused.

**Applied Learning**:

- Learn to use a computer to input or retrieve information.

**Energy**:

- Meet demanding productivity goals.
- Perform repetitive work without losing effectiveness.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Grade 12 graduate
- Valid class ‘G’ driver’s license
- Experience with operating machines/equipment in an automated manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated team player
- Basic computer skills to include Microsoft office
- Experience in Nuclear industry is an asset

**Selected applicants will be tested and interviewed.
