Event Delivery General Service Supervisor

Westerner Park is seeking a talented leadership-driven Event Delivery & Venue Operations Supervisor to join our team. The successful incumbent will possess top-notch supervisory skills with a drive to planning and completing tasks for daily, weekly, and monthly outlooks.

In addition, they will also be customer service driven and be involved in all aspects of event set up, tear down, andjanitorial duties.

Specific duties will include but are not limited to:

- Event Production & Planning: organizing plans (daily, weekly & monthly), working with and directing personnel to provide necessary service
- Reviewing schedules to confirm appropriate staff levels
- Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring: taking responsibility for the quality of work, coaching others, enable team growth, working cohesively with other supervisors, team members, and other business units.
- Client & Guest Experience: Ensure all setups are completed accurately to banquet event order specifications; delivering prompt and efficient resolution to client inquiries or complaints, meeting with event services team to ensure details are correct, be on-site presence for clients.
- Event Production Duties: responsible for the successful execution/setup of various year-round events including tradeshows, conventions, sporting events, concerts, and more; responsible for maintaining year-round event areas, washrooms, and public areas clean pre-and-post event.
- Maintenance, Buildings, and Janitorial: Maintain temperature controls, garbage removal, lighting, cleaning; maintaining event areas washrooms, and public areas; responsible for all janitorial duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning toilets, and scrubbing floors for all facilities; light maintenance including painting, minor wall repairs, fixing tables/chairs, etc.
- Equipment Operation: Operating forklifts, skid steers, tractors, floor scrubbers, sanding equipment, street sweepers, man lifts, and more in a safe and effective manner; using hand tools; monitor tools, equipment, and machinery for maintenance; driving company vehicles.
- Supervisory Responsibility: Responsible for supervisor and leading 5-10 or more employees.
- Be able to work shift work including early mornings, days, evenings, and late nights (Shifts can start as early as 6AM and end as late as 2:30AM).
- Be able to work outdoors in weather extremes including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
- Possess a valid class 5 drivers license
- Have at least 2 years of supervisory experience for teams of 5+ employees
- Preferably have at least 2 to 3 years of experience with event set up
- Equipment operation experience is an asset
- First aid training (Standard First Aid) is preferred but not required
- Must have a class 5 drivers license (GDL is acceptable)
- Must have strong computer skills, preferable with experience in excel and word. Sharepoint is an asset
- Able to work manual labour for extended periods of time, including heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Given Westerner Park is in the Major Events industry, this individual will need the ability to be adaptable and flexible with their time. Work will include evenings and/or weekend shifts as event volume dictates.

**Salary**: $26.25-$29.75 per hour
