Shift Requirements
- Location: Red Deer, Ponoka, and surrounding areas
- Day and Time: Open Availability from Friday (4:00 pm) to Tuesday (8:00 am)
- Guaranteed Hours: 25 hours biweekly

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive **homemaking services**, including but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
- Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
- Administer personal care services to individuals with **quadriplegia**, including activities of daily living
- Assist with specialized care routines**:bowel routines**:

- Safely assist with **transfers**(bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to bath, etc.) using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard
- Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency
- Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office
- Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices

Job Qualification

**Qualifications**:

- **HCA Directory Registration** in Alberta
- **Negative TB Test** from within the last 6 months
- **Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector** from within the last 6 months
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a dependable personal vehicle, with the ability to **commute reliably in varying weather, including adverse winter conditions**:

- Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as well as customer service
- Able to communicate in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset
- Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
- Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
