**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a professional who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to guests. You will also be responsible for preparing or finishing simple and specific plates and drinks.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with the rest of the team. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.

**Responsibilities**:

- Take food and drink orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Collect payments from tables.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Prepare food plates as necessary.
- Preparing ingredients following recipes and guidelines.
- Ensuring ingredients are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively.
- Overseeing food levels and restocking items on time.
- Keeping utensils and equipment clean and sanitary.
- Establishing stock levels at end of shift and capturing information on standardized stock sheets.
- Removing trash and clearing storage bins.

**Requirements**:

- NB Responsible Beverage Ceritification.
- At least 19 years of age.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Excellent understanding of food preparation fundamentals.
- Ability to follow recipes.
- Sound understanding of food allergies and foodborne illnesses.
- Proficient knife handling skills.
- Eye for detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
- Ability to traverse all parts of the location, including stairs.
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with a team.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and prep area are well-stocked.
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Cleaning and restocking bar, prep, dining, and washroom areas, emptying trash and sanitizing and maintaining equipment, tools and utensils.

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour
