**Job overview**

The Landscape Construction Labour is responsible for contributing to all on-site aspects of landscape construction projects and being generally familiar with or in the process of learning all aspects of landscape construction, including operating equipment, demolition, site and soil prep, grading, planting, interfacing with customers, subcontractors, architects, etc.

**Specific responsibilities**
- Assist demolition, site and soil prep, and grading efforts
- Assist installation of pathways, patios, rock walls, etc
- Assist installation of gardens, trees, and plants
- Assist outdoor carpentry projects like fences and decks
- Assist job planning based on a project brief and discussion with the sales and operations team
- Coach, teach and motivate your crew to improve quality, productivity, safety, and morale over time
- Run small jobs, independent of your Project Manager, supervising a crew of three max
- Maintain a tidy, well-organized job site and crew truck

**Requirements**:

- Positive attitude with a growth mindset
- At least two years of hands-on experience building landscapes
- Understand most aspects of landscape construction
- Competent mainly using hand tools, power tools like plate tampers and concrete saws, and earth moving equipment like skid steers
- An able body that can handle physical tasks all day long. Able to lift 100lb objects,

**Bonus**
- Able to operate a laser level, shoot grades and grade sites
- Carpentry skills are a bonus

**You’ll need**
- Steel toe boots, rain gear, gloves, and sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
- Reliable transportation throughout Edmonton and neighbouring towns
- Valid Class 5 license with a clean driving record

**Compensation and benefits**
- $18 - $23 hour depending on qualifications and experience
- Bi-weekly payroll
- 1.5x overtime pay for any after 8 hours per day

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Additional pay:
